It’s finally here: I’m sharing my exact cold email templates to give you the courage to reach out to anyone. On episode 17 of Side Hustle Pro, I shared many of my tried and true tips for reaching out to strangers on the internet. You see, since launching the Side Hustle Pro series on my former blog CailaKSpeaks.com, then launching the full-blown Side Hustle Pro podcast, I’ve been fortunate enough to interview some phenomenal women, including Courtney Sanders of Think And Grow Chick, Luvvie Ajayi of Awesomely Luvvie and Vivian Kaye of KinkyCurlyYaki. While many of my guests are people I know or have met, 50% of the women I interview on my podcast (including the ones listed above) were complete strangers before I reached out to them via email. I’m sharing the exact pitch emails that I used to contact these inspiring women for my blog and podcast.
Why am I sharing these? Because I know what it’s like to be intimidated to reach out to someone. It’s a paralyzing feeling but one you simply have to push past if you want to do anything great. We have to learn to eat ‘NOs’ like vitamins and keep it pushing.
I really wasn’t always good at reaching out to strangers on the internet. I have experienced my fair share of flat out ignores and NOs. That’s why on the last page of these templates, I’m sharing what to avoid doing so you can be as successful as possible in your pitch. Believe me, you don’t want to skip this part.
So use these templates, practice, fine tune, and keep a record of what works. Soon you will have your own collection of emails that work like a charm to break the ice and help you build new relationships. Let me know how it goes in the comments.
